The Sightreading Project
This was my year-long project during my first year of graduate school. My intention was to create a sight-reading program that would be taught alongside the beginner year of learning to play their instruments.. The process is meant to mirror a similar way to how students learn to read by introducing things in smaller pieces that slowly are added together. It begins with alphabetical notes (something familiar) rather than notes or noteheads to start with teaching the physical skills of reading music without being as daunting as music notes from the beginning
